If you're at Port Canaveral waiting for your ship and the weather is bad, you have more options than sitting in a hotel lobby. Kennedy Space Center is 20 minutes away and worth every minute. The Cocoa Beach strip is 10 minutes and has enough covered restaurants and shops to fill a half-day easily. Most hotels near the port also have covered pool areas, bars, and lounges that don't require you to leave the property.
