Cocoa Beach nightlife is beach casual. There are no clubs with dress codes. The scene is bars with live music, tiki bars that stay open late, and a handful of sports bars. The strip along A1A has most of what you need within walking distance.
Live music runs Wednesday through Sunday at the major venues. Cover bands are the norm — rock and beach music played competently in an outdoor setting. No cover charges before 9pm at most spots.
The tiki bars are the heart of Cocoa Beach nightlife. Sandy floors, frozen drinks, rum-based cocktails, and outdoor seating with whatever breeze is coming off the ocean. They open early and close late. Unpretentious and welcoming.
Things thin out after 11pm on weeknights. Weekends and especially launch nights are different — if a night launch happens, A1A fills back up afterward with the kind of post-event energy you do not get in most beach towns.
