The Cocoa Beach local day starts before 7am. Surf check first — walk to the beach access nearest your house, evaluate the conditions, decide whether to paddle out. If the surf is good, in the water by 6:30am before the wind picks up. If not, coffee and a walk on the empty beach. This is the best version of Cocoa Beach and it happens before most tourists are awake.
